I’m Maya Richards, a Casper, Wyoming–based chef and the creator of Simpleafy Recipes. I believe that simple, wholesome, and safe gluten-free food can transform everyday life, and I’m so glad you’re here.

My Story: From My Grandmother’s Kitchen to Yours

My love for food began on a small wooden stool in my grandmother’s kitchen. I’d watch, mesmerized, as she coaxed incredible flavor from the humblest ingredients, turning simple staples into dishes that felt like a hug. She taught me that food wasn’t just about recipes—it was about connection.

That spark stayed with me. As a teenager, I was the friend catering birthday parties and potlucks, learning firsthand how fresh, wholesome food could bring joy to any table.

My “Why”: A Turning Point

After college, life got busy. Between starting a family and juggling daily responsibilities, I saw how easily home cooking could become another chore. I watched friends and family turn to takeout, not because they didn’t care, but because they were overwhelmed. I felt it, too.

That’s when I realized that simple, reliable recipes were the solution. A ten-minute soup or a one-bowl dessert could shift the entire rhythm of a stressful day. This idea became my mission: to create a space where delicious, gluten-free meals could fit into real, busy lives without compromise. That’s how SimpleafyRecipes.com was born.

I’ve had my share of kitchen failures—dense gluten-free muffins and sauces that refused to cooperate. Those setbacks taught me that recipes must work the first time, every time. They also reinforced my belief that food should be a source of comfort, not stress.
